Temasek has established independent public institutions and worked with multilateral agencies to promote these principles and share best practices that enable societies to thrive and prosper.
WMI was founded by GIC and Temasek in 2003. A practice-based education and research institute, WMI is a training provider for wealth and asset management in Asia. Its mission is to build capabilities, advance knowledge and nurture innovation and expertise in wealth management, asset management and other disciplines related to financial services.
Established in 2011, SAC is a thought leadership centre promoting effective stewardship and governance across Asia. It builds capabilities and platforms that enable organisations, including family businesses, to foster enduring success and responsible wealth creation for the long term, and to benefit the wider community and future generations.
Established in 2008 within the Singapore Management University, the institute conducts applied financial research that is driven by industry and societal needs. The institute also focuses on financial inclusion and literacy, sustainable finance, financial technology and data and governance.
In 2008, we worked actively with other sovereign investors and other agencies in outbound investing as well as investment recipient countries, in support of the IMF, to develop the Santiago Principles for sovereign investments, and promote good governance and responsible investing.
